Trisha Yearwood -
Heaven, Heartache and the Power Of Love
(Big Machine) Uh-oh. First Reba, now Trisha. Perhaps I'm about to enter into a country phase. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Ms. Yearwood has celebrated her departure from the MCA/Nashville label with a raucous, rousing, gospel-tinged anthem, available for less than a buck at iTunes. Yeah, it's worth a buck. And then some. From the album of the same title, destined for a November release, Ms. Yearwood's website says the album is "meant to be," adding that in "...just two days my producer and I cut eight songs that we loved." That's producer Garth Fundis - who's been working with Ms. Yearwood for a while now, and of whom AllMusic says is, "One of the most respected producers in Nashville." MCA's loss. Spend the buck. Very highly recommended.
