She phoned it in. She phoned the damn thing in.

I'm so bummed. I was so looking forward to this one, and she phoned the damn thing in.

The orchestration is lush and lovely - the cover is great. Ms. Simon's performance is flat, unemotional and uninspired. She sounds as if she's just trying to get through each tune. By the final cut, "How Long Has This Been Going On," she actually sounded relieved to my tired ears.

Mom always said, "If you can't say anything good..."

Go listen to the clips yourself at Amazon or iTunes. 30 seconds of any cut is more than enough.

I'm finished here. But I'm so bummed.
